A chef friend of mine shared his sourdough starter with me a couple years ago as a birthday gift. This was the first time that I had ever made sourdough bread. Since that first day 2 years ago I have baked hundreds of loaves, gifting them to everyone I know and continuing to explore this craft. There is something so beautiful about bread…the combination of very few elements balanced with time and temperature that gives birth to this warm, delicious, living masterpiece.
